Cover Engineer Engineer Agreement
Effective Date: Monday 2nd March 2026

This Engineer Agreement applies to all engineers who register for, access, or use Cover Engineer.

1. Purpose

Cover Engineer enables engineers to create profiles, apply for shifts, and accept bookings for engineering cover opportunities.

2. Your status

By registering as an engineer, you acknowledge that:

  • registration does not guarantee work;

  • nothing in this agreement creates an employment relationship between you and Building Services Ai Ltd;

  • Building Services Ai Ltd is not your employer;

  • any shift you accept may be subject to separate terms with the relevant client, site, payroll provider, umbrella provider, or contracting intermediary.

3. Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, including where relevant:

  • your full name;

  • contact information;

  • qualifications and certifications;

  • trade background and experience;

  • right-to-work information;

  • availability and location;

  • bank or payment details where required for payment processing.

You must keep your profile and documents current at all times.

4. Qualifications and compliance

You must not apply for or accept any shift unless:

  • you are competent to carry out the work safely and lawfully;

  • you hold any required licences, qualifications, training, or tickets;

  • you have the right to work in the UK for that engagement;

  • you can attend at the stated location and time.

You are responsible for maintaining your own valid and current qualifications, tickets, certifications, and any insurance required of you.

5. Applying for shifts

You may apply for shifts advertised through Cover Engineer.

Submitting an application does not guarantee selection or create a contract.

A booking only exists once:

  • you are selected;

  • the booking details are issued; and

  • any required confirmation or onboarding steps are completed.

6. Attendance and conduct

When you accept a shift, you must:

  • attend on time and ready for work;

  • bring any required ID, PPE, tools, documents, or certifications;

  • behave professionally and respectfully;

  • follow site rules, health and safety procedures, access rules, and reasonable instructions;

  • report delays, absence, incidents, or safety issues promptly.

You must not attend a shift under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Repeated lateness, cancellations, no-shows, unsafe conduct, misconduct, or falsified records may lead to suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

7. Timesheets and payment

You must submit timesheets honestly and accurately.

Payment may be administered by a third-party payroll, umbrella, or contracting provider. Payment will usually depend on:

  • completion of required onboarding;

  • submission of correct details; and

  • approval of hours worked.

Building Services Ai Ltd is not responsible for payment delays caused by inaccurate information, missing onboarding, disputed timesheets, or third-party payroll processes.

8. Cancellations

If you cannot attend an accepted shift, you must notify the relevant contact and the platform immediately.

Frequent cancellations, short-notice withdrawals, or no-shows may affect your account, visibility, and ability to receive future opportunities.

9. Your responsibilities

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, you are responsible for:

  • your own transport;

  • your own phone and general working equipment;

  • your own taxes where not deducted by a payroll or umbrella arrangement;

  • your compliance with all legal and professional obligations applicable to you.

10. Reviews and profile history

Your activity on the platform may be reflected in:

  • reviews;

  • ratings;

  • responsiveness;

  • attendance history;

  • booking outcomes; and

  • reliability records.

We may use this information to operate platform trust, matching, and quality processes.

11. Restrictions

You must not:

  • create false or duplicate accounts;

  • misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or availability;

  • share confidential site or client information;

  • harass or discriminate against any user;

  • use Cover Engineer in a dishonest, unlawful, or abusive way.

12. No guarantee of work

Building Services Ai Ltd does not guarantee:

  • any minimum number of shifts;

  • any minimum level of income;

  • selection for any application;

  • work in any particular area or at any particular rate.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if:

  • you breach this agreement;

  • you provide false, misleading, or expired documents;

  • serious complaints or safety concerns are raised;

  • your behaviour creates legal, reputational, or operational risk.

14. Liability

Nothing in this agreement excludes any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to that, Building Services Ai Ltd will not be liable for:

  • indirect or consequential loss;

  • loss of earnings opportunity;

  • loss of reputation;

  • loss arising from shift cancellation, non-selection, site conduct, or third-party payroll issues.

Our maximum aggregate liability to you shall not exceed:

  • the amount paid by you to us in the previous 12 months; or

  • £500, where no fees have been paid by you.

15. Data protection

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using Cover Engineer, you acknowledge that relevant profile and booking information may be shared with site-side users and relevant third-party providers where necessary to administer the platform and bookings.

16. Changes to this agreement

We may update this Engineer Agreement from time to time by publishing an updated version on https://Cover.Engineer.

17. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
